Sorry for my lack of knowledge about model train as I am new. I like the Marklin System but would also like to run several brands of together. Can I run 2 rail DC HO Trains of other brands on on a Marklin 3 rail AC HO System as I like some model which only offer 2 rail DC ?
Dear Tony: How are you! As Amingo said, you can't play the 2-rail train on Marklin track system. But you can make two systems, 2-rail and 3-rail,separately in one layout. I am a Marklin train fan,HO. It's so nice to hear you like the famous train brand, too.If you like 2-rail system, you could choose the Fleischmann or Trix system. Since the Trix had been merged by Marklin. Thanks for your suggestion. I have started my train model hobbie. I have just bought a Fleischmann starter set and a Bachmann China locomotives. It is very interesting. I am now plan to buy a digital Marklin train set too. But I is much more expensive than the Bachmann one. Do u think it is worth ?
Dear Tony: It's worth to buy a Marklin digital starter set for yourself. But I'm just afraid that you will throw the other trains yor had wned while you get the Marklin one.It's more expensive than other brands. You can buy it from Deutsch on internet. It will be cheaper in local. I have no idea that where you are. Best Regards
