I am very disappointing to the running quality of Bachmann QJ steam. Details as follows:
1)cannot handle curve ail properly even R5 of ROCO rail. always derailed.
2)hardly smooth to run, sometimes fast and sometims very slow without regarding stable Direct Current.
3)the track was finished by the worst "craftmanship". both side not matched and parallel.
4)if you load decoder then the lok will "jump and run", crazy?
5)I try to repair it by my valuable time(nearly 5 hours)with my model railway knowledge and result is horrible- the QJ become my maintanence stocks on my layout's terminal zone
Dear train fans, I doubted is there any QUALITY - CHECK from Bachmann factory. I have a word to Bachmann management:
Dear OB, 1. Running performance I was wondering why your QJ can not negotiate with R5 tracks since we have a QJ model running on our window display layout with Fleischmann R2 track for weeks, perfectly running. I think you better send your QJ to the factory or the shop where you bought for free repair/replacemnt. it can save a lot of your valueable time.
2.running with digital decoder I think you may plug the decoder into the wrong socket. we have tested with Fleischmann twin decoder, Lenz LE131 and Loksound decoder, no problem.
3. Bargin price we have received a lot of mail orders from Europe and we sold those QJ models nearly double of your said German price. I was wondering if it is possible for you to send the details of the advertisment to my email address as above. thanks.
